Purpose of Job


This position is responsible for driving marketing activities for the assigned business line, including strategic planning, product positioning, sales support and budget management.  This includes developing, implementing and measuring strategic marketing plans in support of multiple products and overall business growth. He/she will coordinate marketing activities to establish and maintain company and product awareness in the target market, including but not limited to the management of collateral and content development, communications, tradeshow participation, advertising, public relations, and lead generation. The Marketing Manager will build strong relationships with business unit management, cross-functional associates and other third parties to accomplish goals.


Core Responsibilities:


  • Direct the development and execution of annual marketing plan and budget, making strategic marketing investments that produce the highest ROI for the business.

  • Develop product and brand positioning strategies, which include but are not limited to, gathering market feedback, developing product messaging frameworks, creating sales and support materials, building advertising campaigns, and communicating with customers and prospects.

  • Work closely with sales leaders and product management teams to make sure we are effectively communicating the products’ value in the marketplace and driving qualified leads or cross-sell opportunities.

  • Manage communication activities for the business line, including the development of content for public relations initiatives, customer newsletters, other campaigns, and online channels.

  • Build strong relationships with business unit management and cross-functional associates, as well as industry contacts.

  • Plan, participate, and report on customer initiatives, including annual client conference and advisory board meetings.




  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications or related field.

  • 7+ years’ experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Familiarity with standard concepts, practices and procedures of marketing.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Graphic design experience is preferred but not required.

  • Knowledge of the financial industry, payments/payment processing and transportation market, as well as experience in a B2B environment, is preferred.

  • Some travel required.

  • Strong level of personal organization and leadership, with excellent oral/written communication skills. 

  • Must be detail oriented, with the ability to handle multiple assignments promptly and effectively.

  • Demonstrated ability to work calmly in a fast-paced team environment, as well as the ability to react quickly and decisively to resolve issues and shifting priorities. 

  • Must have the ability to manage and lead project teams including cross-functional groups.

  • Strong marketing skills with the ability to clearly develop and articulate marketing strategies and solutions.

  • Ability to manage projects and associated costs within given budget and execute budgets in alignment with corporate strategies
