Job Summary


The Vice President, Product Strategy is a new position in the organization tasked with leading cross-product vision, planning and execution for Fleetcor’s Comdata North American Trucking division. The primary goal for this leader will be to ensure a world-class product experience that delivers unique value for customers and enables continued market leadership and growth for Comdata.

Job Responsibilities


  • Lead the vision, planning and execution of the overarching platform (SaaS, mobile, reporting) strategies that unify our solutions for the marketplace.

  • Be an expert as it relates to the market trends, business needs and adoption habits of Comdata’s core over-the-road trucking customers.

  • Conduct the market/customer research necessary to understand current and future platform needs.

  • Build the vision, business case and product planning docs required to drive initiatives forward with clarity and consensus.

  • Work with product peers, operations teams, sales and service to ensure internal stakeholder considerations are captured.

  • Work extensively with prospective and existing customers to gain relevant market feedback on product direction, market need and potential receptivity.

  • Partner with product peers and IT teams on roadmap planning, prioritization and agile development process.

  • Lead go-to-market initiatives for product set, including segmentation, positioning, pricing, sales enablement, adoption and continuous improvement. 

  • Create new revenue opportunities through new and enhanced capabilities.

  • Partner with service and operations to ensure the supportability to solutions post-rollout.




  • Bachelor’s degree, plus 10 years product leadership experience

  • MBA a plus

  • Track record of successful product planning and market entry, especially with SaaS and mobile applications

  • Experience unifying product portfolios or disparate product sets

  • Experience with Agile development process

  • Strong understanding of marketing, value creation and insight-driven sales techniques

  • Experience working with and enabling direct sales teams
