Position Summary:

The Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting Comdata’s senior management team and multiple business units with financial and operational reporting, analysis, and planning.


  • Support operational initiatives across various business units

  • Develop complex models capable of capturing key business drivers

  • Develop appropriate metrics for the business to measure growth, profitability, expense control, efficiency, and productivity

  • Support monthly close process to ensure timely and accurate financial results

  • Drive improvements in reporting accuracy, timeliness, and insightfulness

  • Ensure on-going communication and dialogue with key stakeholders across enterprises

  • Support ad-hoc tasks and various business projects using tools to improve processes and increase productivity

  • Improve data gathering and presentation processes, automating whenever possible


  • Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in Business from four-year college or university

  • 1-3 years financial and data analysis experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience required

  • Advanced PC modeling skills (spreadsheet and database)

  • Proven experience conducting quantitative analysis

  • An understanding of finance and accounting principles

  • Working Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning systems

  • Project Management experience

  • Requires analytical skills that are used regularly to interpret financial information and provide financial insight into business issues

  • Strong level of personal organization skills with excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to interact with senior management is required

  • Must be detail oriented, with the ability to handle multiple assignments promptly and effectively

  • Demonstrated ability to work calmly in a fast-paced team environment while effectively managing multiple projects

  • Superior telephone etiquette and customer service skills are required, with the ability to react quickly and decisively to resolve customer issues
